ARThuis discovers and carefully selects beautiful and affordable objects of art that come from all over the world.

More than a decade ago, Patricia Steenhuis started collecting Canadian First Nations artworks. Soon, she put together an interesting collection, mainly comprised of art from the Woodland School. It wasn?t long before others – novices and collectors alike – sought Patricia?s advice to start, or further build their collections. She also continued to widen her own collection by exchanging works with other collectors.

During her time in the Middle East, Patricia criss-crossed the region exploring Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt. From the bazaars in Damascus, Baghdad and Cairo, she collected 19th century furniture inlaid with mother-of-pearl, carpets and textiles, tribal jewellery, and much more.

While living in Tbilisi, Georgia, Patricia supported and collected contemporary Georgian artworks. She contributed to exhibitions, and organized art viewings in private residences showcasing established and emerging Georgian artists. Collectors turned to Patricia to expand their collections.

ARThuis gained momentum ? evolved from an idea to reality.
