Gerd Keppens

Gerd Keppens was born in Opwijk, a town situated in the Flemish Region of Belgium. Flanders is known for its rich historical and cultural heritage, with impressive achievements in the arts and architecture.

From an early age, Gerd studied drawing at the Sint-Lucas Art School in Brussels, as well as music harmony and, later as a teen, cello at the music conservatory. These experiences were to shape Gerd?s future, both as an artist and musician.

In the early eighties, Gerd was one of the founding members and bassist of THE BET. The band was known for their melodic and smooth guitar rock songs reminiscent of music by Don Henley, the Eagles, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
